Lighting Protection Ring for Universal Robots

The ProLight lighting protection ring performs two functions at the same time, it shows operating states and increases safety through rounded corners for human-robot-collaboration applications. It can be retrofitted for any type of UR robot.

The ProLight can visibly display the robot's operating status in two colors. In addition, the rounded design reduces the risk of injury and at the same time covers the socket on axis 6 on the UR robot. Otherwise, these would have to be additionally secured in MRK applications in accordance with guidelines (TS15066).

When implementing human-robot-collaboration applications, special requirements must be met. In particular, the standards and guidelines for the components must be complied with so that employees cannot be injured. The ProLight is a lighting protection ring developed by Faude to meet the safety requirements for industrial robots (DIN EN ISO 10218-1).
